This web camera points towards the ferry dock in Moskenes in Lofoten. This is the ferry connecting the Lofoten islands with Værøy, Røst and Bodø.
Moskenes municipality has 1,070 inhabitants. The main industry is fishing.
The highest mountain in the municipality is Hermannsdalstinden. There is a partly marked trail from Lofoten Hiking Association's (DNT), cabin Munkebu up to the summit. Moskenes, is among the 10 most spectacular mountain hiking areas i Northern Norway, with Reinebringen summit as number one.
Moskenes is known for it's strong maelstrom the Mosk. In southwest, we find traces of ancient settlements. In Refsvika is a cave, Kollhellaren, with 3,000 year old cave paintings.
